Sales Director, Bass Pro Shops and Family Footwear Join to apply for the Sales Director, Bass Pro Shops and Family Footwear role at Columbia Sportswear Company About The Position The Columbia Sales team partners with external partners (from wholesale key accounts to independent boutiques) and internal teams including Merchandising, Marketing, Planning, and Product to understand the needs of consumers and the realities of the marketplace. The team’s business savviness and sales strategy expertise foster strong partnerships and solid results. This role leads that team and process. Position Overview As the Director, Strategic Accounts, you will focus on Columbia Sportswear’s Bass Pro Shop/Cabela’s, Famous Footwear, and Shoe Carnival accounts. You will develop and execute strategic plans to promote sales growth and customer satisfaction, strengthen existing executive-level client relationships, and develop new business opportunities. You will drive strategy and growth in collaboration with your sales team and cross-functional partners. How You’ll Make a Difference Create a coaching culture to empower the sales team and ensure business success and goal achievement Identify and implement business strategies aligned with department objectives, including retention, revenue growth, market share, and expansion opportunities Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity; provide feedback to sales leadership and partners Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish support, channel, and partner programs, enhancing go-to-market strategies and sales plans Foster a high-performance, innovative, and enterprise-minded organizational culture Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities Qualifications Clear and effective communicator in various group settings Strategic thinker with attention to detail Proficient in persuasion, influence, and negotiation Experienced team leader, organizer, and motivator Skilled in market analysis and strategic response Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience 10+ years of successful sales experience, including team development, key account management, and strategic closing Experience in the apparel industry preferred Proven ability to work within a matrixed organization Strong financial and business acumen Commitment to company core values: compete to win, relentless improvement, honesty, respect, trust, doing the right thing Willingness to travel 25% Columbia Sportswear Company is an equal opportunity employer.
