Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to process and manage hourly and salaried payrolls across multiple U.S. companies and states/provinces. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and accurate payroll execution across various pay frequencies, maintain compliance with applicable laws, and provide exceptional support to employees and management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately process hourly and salaried payrolls for multiple U.S. companies across weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly, and special incentive frequencies.
• Prepare, load, and submit payroll files through PeopleSoft and other payroll systems.
• Maintain payroll records, databases, and timekeeping systems (Kronos, Workforce Solutions).
• Review and analyze daily and weekly time data across locations to ensure accuracy.
• Input and update employee information, including direct deposit, tax, and deduction details.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and provincial payroll regulations.
• Follow SOX controls as outlined in payroll process documentation.
• Stay updated on payroll policies, procedures, and legislation to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Serve as the point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and resolve employee discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide expertise on payroll policies, system usage, and processing best practices.
• Generate reports and queries on payroll data for internal stakeholders.
• Conduct analysis for audits, management requests, and special projects.
• Assist with project work as assigned by the Payroll Manager.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred.
• FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) preferred.
• 3–5 years of full-cycle payroll administration experience, including multi-state/province payrolls.
• Proficiency with payroll systems such as PeopleSoft.
• Timekeeping systems: Kronos and Workforce Solutions (preferred).
• HRIS systems experience.

*** Pay rate- $29-$30/hour
