Title: Payroll and Benefits Administrator

Department: People Team

Reports to: Vice President of People

Schedule: Full-Time

Status: Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY

The Payroll and Benefits Administrator will manage the company's payroll process and administer employee benefits programs. This role requires a detail-oriented and analytical professional who can ensure accurate payroll processing, compliance with relevant regulations, and effective communication with employees regarding their benefits.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Payroll Processing:

  • Accurately process bi-weekly payroll for all employees
  • Verify payroll data, including hours worked, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and time off requests
  • Prepare payroll reports and maintain payroll records
  • Handle payroll discrepancies and resolve payroll-related issues
  • Stay updated on state and federal payroll laws and ensure compliance

Benefits Administration:

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance and other voluntary benefits
  • Conduct benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations promptly
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA
  • Administer FMLA, leaves of absence, and ADA accommodations
  • Assist with payroll, benefits, and employee data and analytics audits

HRIS and Personnel Administration:

  • Administering transfers, promotions, leave of absence, and terminations
  • Ensure all changes are documented accurately and reflected in payroll and benefits systems
  • Support the Talent Management Partners with recruiting, onboarding, and training
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and benefits administration
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
