Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Jira Technical Consultant to join our team in Santa Clara, CA. This is an onsite role where the consultant will provide technical expertise to clients, helping them optimize their Jira environment, improve workflows, and resolve technical challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Jira administration, configuration, and integrations, and will be capable of translating business requirements into efficient Jira solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with clients to understand their business processes, needs, and objectives in order to provide customized Jira solutions.
• Configure, administer, and support Jira (both Jira Software and Jira Service Management) instances to align with organizational requirements.
• Design and implement Jira workflows, schemes, permissions, issue types, and custom fields.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Jira-related technical issues, including performance tuning, upgrades, and patching.
• Provide expert guidance on best practices for Jira administration and user management.
• Implement Jira add-ons and integrations (e.g., with Confluence, Bitbucket, GitHub, etc.) to enhance functionality.
• Support data migrations between Jira instances or from legacy systems.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams and clients on Jira usage, administration, and best practices.
• Create detailed documentation, including system architecture, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
• Participate in client meetings, providing technical insights and contributing to project planning and scoping.
• Ensure smooth deployment of Jira configurations and changes, minimizing disruptions to client teams.
• Continuously assess and optimize Jira environments for performance and scalability.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Jira administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Jira Align (if applicable).
• Proven experience implementing and customizing Jira workflows, schemes, permissions, and issue types.
