KBR’s Readiness and Sustainment Business Unit seeks an experienced HR Manager to provide regional support to work teams, manage and oversee employee-centric activities that drive engagement, retention and company culture. This individual will have a strong background managing people and HR activities, and a broad array of generalist experience with a focus on employee relations and remote client group support as an HR business partner. Working closely with colleagues within HR and other related Functional and Operations teams across KBR, they will lead a small team and will enjoy implementing and championing “best workplace” programs and projects across the organization. This role is on a military installation at Blount Island – Jacksonville, FL and is not eligible for remote work. Responsibilities include implementing and administrating HR programs, policies, processes, and procedures designed to attract, retain and reward employees in alignment with overall business strategy and growth initiatives; knowledge of a broad range of human resources strategies and practices including compensation, performance management, talent acquisition, employee and labor relations; developing and implementing policies and practices across the workforce to ensure consistency and alignment with Company policies, the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and employment laws; performing diverse assignments covering a wide range of human resource functions; working closely with the Legal team to ensure risk mitigation, engagement, and fairness; participating in functional strategy development and program rollout; assisting with employee engagement activities and “best workplace” initiatives; analyzing workforce data to develop retention strategies; overseeing and leading complex investigations related to harassment, discrimination, wage & hour and policy violations; experience leading in a union environment; serving as primary interface between managers, employees, Legal, Ethics, and Dispute Resolution Program; maintaining records of investigations; driving cultural adoption of employee development models; providing guidance to HR staff; coaching and counseling employees and managers; supervising direct reports; tracking employee data and trends; collaborating with Recruiting and Hiring Managers; ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance, military base access, and a Common Access Card (CAC). Basic qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field with 12+ years relevant HR experience (or 16+ years experience in lieu of degree), 8-10 years HR management experience, 8+ years Employee Relations experience, 8+ years HRBP support experience, HR-related certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) completed or planned within 6 months, and willingness to travel 10-20%. Preferred qualifications include ability to facilitate personnel environment across international and culturally diverse teams, hands-on Workday administration experience, Deltek Costpoint user, advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, experience with International Labor Law, government contracts or military experience, and unionized environment experience.
