Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the functionality and safety of the facility, including physical buildings, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, life safety systems, and grounds.
  • Manage and maintain required documentation for energy management, life safety, conservation, and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Lead and manage staff, including supervision, training, development, evaluations, and recognition programs.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels according to business needs.
  • Maintain and oversee all rehabilitation, expansion, and special projects.
  • Supervise and ensure the upkeep and repair of guest areas to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and cost controls.
  • Provide budget forecasts, financial reporting, and manage department budgets.
  • Maintain accurate records related to maintenance, energy consumption, and cost control efforts.
  • Prepare and present reports, financial summaries, and project plans for various meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety codes, including building, fire, and health regulations.
  • Respond to emergencies, including fires and equipment failures, as the primary maintenance representative.
  • Monitor staffing levels and manage team performance, training, and professional development.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to ensure optimal building operations.
  • Maintain an effective preventive maintenance program to ensure all systems function efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Adhere to all corporate purchasing policies and manage budgets effectively.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in property operations, facility maintenance, or a similar field.
  • Experience working with Central Plant Operations.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is a must-have, whether in a hotel, casino, or resort.
