Job Description

CASCO Civil is looking for a Civil Designer who will be responsible for designing, preparing, and reviewing plans related to civil engineering projects. This includes land development, streets and highways, sanitary and storm sewers, water distribution systems, and site improvements. The Civil Designermust possess a working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other design software. He or she must have the ability to create drawings, review plans for accuracy, and be able to interpret and implement engineering designs.The Civil Designermust also be able to work closely with other engineering and design staff, as well as contractors and other professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft civil engineering designs for roadways, water, sewage lines, drainage, and land grading specifications for commercial and residential buildingsites using maps and topographical surveys in AutoCAD format.
  • Draft both 2D and 3D designs of utilities, roadways,and other infrastructure systems.
  • Interpret civil engineering drawings to determine where to allocateutilities, roadways, and other infrastructure systems.
  • Read maps and land surveysto note land grading, nearby structures, and other factorsthat could affect the placement of utilities, roadways, and other infrastructure systems.

Qualifications:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work on multipleprojects and effectively balance workload.
  • AutoCAD, Civil 3D experience is required.
  • 2+ years of industry experience is a plus.
