Cisco Network Engineer – Night Shift (Primarily Remote | $48/hr | W2 Only | Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Lake Buena Vista, FL (Must Reside Within 45 Minutes for Occasional Onsite Support)

We’re hiring a Night Shift Network Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise data center environment. This is a W2-only, contract-to-hire role offering a mostly remote schedule, with occasional onsite support required , so candidates must live within 45 minutes of Lake Buena Vista, FL .

If you have experience with Cisco Nexus , VPC/VDC , VxLAN , and enjoy solving complex issues in a 24x7 operations setting—this is a great opportunity to grow with a top-tier infrastructure team.

Schedule:

• Week 1: Sunday – Tuesday, 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM ET
• Week 2: Sunday – Wednesday, 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM ET

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert-level support for routing, switching, and data center network infrastructure.
• Lead overnight incident response and network troubleshooting efforts.
• Work with technologies including Cisco Nexus (7K, 5K, 9K) , VxLAN , and VPC/VDC .
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to maintain high availability.
• Participate in network changes, documentation, and performance improvements.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise networks.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco Nexus , Catalyst 9K , BGP , OSPF , and EIGRP .
• Familiar with tools like Cisco NDFC , ServiceNow , Jira , Splunk , and Wireshark .
• Experience with F5 load balancers , SevOne , NetCool , and network monitoring tools.
• Must live within 45 minutes of Lake Buena Vista, FL for onsite needs.

Preferred:

• CCNA , F5-CTS LTM , or equivalent certifications.
• Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) and data center automation.
